Sunset at Ludas Lake

A bit of an update, since my last blog post was over a month ago: The weather was so cold, miserable, cloudy, and gray that I didn’t feel like going out to do anything. Every day was rainy with dark skies, it hasn’t been this bad since January.

In the meantime, I got a VHS camera (well, 2 actually, a Panasonic M9000 - also known as the AG-456 - and a Panasonic MS1, but I prefer the M9000), which I want to try to use for some old-school-looking stuff. Sadly the tape deck is not working anymore, so I’m using the composite output with an HDMI upscaler and a USB HDMI capture card connected to my phone. The video is not great but does justice to the VHS feel. I’ll try to catch todays sunset with it.

Yesterday I went out to the hidden rest stop in Ludas Lake and managed to catch the sunset from the air. Here’s a bit of a compilation video (for the TikToks) and a few pictures along with a panorama.
