I just found out my phone can record LOG video since an update to MIUI 13. It’s a Redmi Note 9 Pro, which has a 64MPixel main sensor capable of 4K LOG video. While I don’t do much color grading, I like the way it looks straight out of the camera. Very fitting for depressing, rainy, moody days, especially when “slightly” shifted towards the blues and greens.
Its dynamic range is still nowhere near what a real camera offers in LOG mode, but it’s almost as good as what I can squeeze out of the A5000.
Stabilization is lacking though since the phone does not have optical image stabilization and electronic stabilization is unavailable in this mode.
