Winter is coming and it’s not great out there. I wake up, it’s cold and dark. I finish work, it’s cold and dark. In the meanwhile, it’s wet and miserable. Who needs this?
Not me. Next year I’m planning on dodging all this seasonal depression malarkey and taking a trip to Spain. Seriously, if you feel the same way, just take a look at some offerings towards October and November (even September), there are some very reasonably priced beachfront properties for long stays. And that’s on Airbnb which is supposed to be way overpriced. I’m planning on escaping in October and November, hopefully, the Christmas spirit in December keeps me going for the rest of the year. Sun’s setting 2 hours later than here, and the average temperature is at least 15C up from here, it’s a no-brainer. Honestly, what I’m spending on heating alone can finance a month there easily, two if you’re heating with gas.
