New concealed rest place

The golden oriole is not related to the rest, he just looks cool. I saw him from my window while working, in great contrast against the green foliage.

Fixed the electric drive on my bike, so longer distances are closer again. I went out to Goose Lake (Ludasi tó or Ludaško jezero) to take a look around. Found a nice little dirt road on Google Earth that gets me close to the water without having to go through plantations. There’s a small pier on which some ducks were sitting (probably guests on Goose lake), but it looks way too old to be able to withstand my weight. Turning to my left I noticed a barely visible path toward a clearing, naturally, I started following. To my surprise, there was one of those roofed resting places with the benches and table right on the side of a poppy field, behind it the reeds bordering the lake. A flock of geese (or a gaggle, as they are apparently called) hurried to the water, one brave guy flew away. This is an ideal place for a bit of droning, secluded enough that it doesn’t bother anybody, but close enough to the landmarks so that I can take a look around. Lots of little islands of reeds in the lake, loots of geese (obviously), green water and some nice fields around. Great place, will return. Probably with some food too.

Next stop was at the beach of Palic, ol’ reliable. Saw a nice sailboat against a great background, and a great egret who just walked around the beach like a dude belonging there. As there wasn’t anything new around I headed home.

Wheat started growing recently, which makes fields look like sea water in the wind when the Sun catches it right. On the way home the Sun was just about to set and I was just at the right location to see some great views. The reddish tint makes it look otherwordly, however, it’s just the result of the awful amount of dust in the air. In one of the videos you can clearly see it as it whisps around like smoke, but it’s just dirt thrown up by cars and trucks. Nevertheless, looks nice.
